My Packing List

My Packing List: Things I’m Not Travelling Without

After travelling for years I’ve come up with a list of things I cannot travel without (basically my packing list)!

It starts with some of the obvious stuff like passport and money (obviously..) but it continues with some very interesting things that I’m sure you didn’t think about.

So let’s just get right to the list!

Passport

Needless to say why you need your passport with you, my only advice is just make sure you have a protective case for it and even use another plastic bag to keep it dry no matter what, the last thing you want is your passport to get damaged.

Backup Phone

I always take a backup phone with me, in case my main phone will be lost/ damaged or whatever, make sure you have your original “home” SIM card in your backup phone and NOT in your main so you would be able to have your number if something goes wrong.

Backup Phone Charger

Chargers are always needed when travelling, they will break or get lost sometimes so you better have an extra one with you.

4. Phone holder: i use this foldable phone holder all the time, especially when i’m editing or posting content on my phone. The holder is very convenient for long use.

2-3 Credit Cards (backup)

Please DO NOT travel with only one credit card, it is just playing with fire, at some point your credit card will not work for some reason or it will get lost or stolen, you never know, you just better have another 1-2 cards stored safely in your bag (do not travel with more than 1 card on you).

200-300 USD/ EUR in Cash

It is important to have some cash at any point and time, does not matter how many credit cards you have, you should have a good amount of 200-300$ or EURO in case of emergency.

Power Bank

always have a charged power bank with you, you never know when your battery will die and you just need to get to your place very late at night.

Laptop

as an online business owner, my laptop is basically where i’m managing all of my business and also editing pictures and content.

External Hard Drive for Backups

SSD/ External hard drive for backing up files comes very handy while traveling (and in general) I’m using it for backing up my pictures and videos.

Camera

As a photography lover I just can’t travel without my camera, usually I’m taking 2-3 lenses with me as well, yes, I make a lot of content on my iPhone as well cause the quality is amazing too but in so many cases the camera just gives a next level of quality and editing possibilities as well, especially in bad lighting situations.

Go Pro or Other Underwater Camera

I’m a big scuba diving and snorkeling fan and it’s one of the activities I love doing the most, so an underwater camera is just something that is very crucial when going to a beautiful place with a nice reef and all.

Hair Trimmer

I guess this one is not for  everyone but for someone with a beard (like me) hair trimmer is super important for fixing and trimming my beard especially when going on a long trip, my beard basically grows pretty fast so i need to trim it every 1-2 weeks.

So this is the list, i have a few more things that I’m taking with me but those are the most important that i think you all should think about while travelling too, especially the backup aspect of things. In short: when you are having a backup phone, backup credit card and a backup passport (if you have two.. Not everyone has of course) you are basically ready for almost any situation which is an amazing starting point to be in just in case.  So let me know if i should add something to my list or if you are going to add something to your next trip because of what I’ve said above.

Enjoy and take care always.
